Princess Posey and the First Grade Parade, by Stephanie Greene is the first title in a series of sweet books that introduce Posey , a character young ones can relate to.  In this book, Posey is reluctant to start first grade without her mother by her side and without wearing her confidence building pink tutu.  Great resource to open dialog with children as they may face their fears about new experiences.  There is also a confidence-building ending in which the new first graders are encouraged to be true to themselves.  This series of books makes the transition from early readers to chapter books a fun experience!  - Aurora
